Cowanesque Valley Outdoors Festival

  The Cowanesque Valley Outdoors Festival began as a mission objective of the Valley Joint Chambers of Commerce. The VJCC represents businesses along the Route 49 corridor in Tioga County. Combined with the support of the VJCC and a generous grant awarded by the Tioga County Visitors Bureau’s Tioga County Marketing Initiative, the first festival was held on September 1^st, 2007.  With the goal to introduce the touring public to the wonderful assets located in Tioga County and the “Valley,” our Festival is intended to entertain and educate.   

  Sponsored by the CV Joint Chamber of Commerce, the CV Outdoor Festival provides area businesses and non-profit organizations the opportunity to promote themselves to over 1000 visitors who attend the day-long event.  With the influx of tourists, along with workers and their families that have been relocated to the area, the CV Outdoor Festival is the ideal way to introduce the many wonderful assets Tioga County and the "Valley" has to offer.

Many thanks go to the State agencies and commissions who bring their programs to the Festival, highlighting the outdoor opportunities available here. 

   Tioga County is the northern-most area of the PA Wilds. Long known by hunters and fishermen for its lakes, streams and woodlands, few others realize the abundance of unique and friendly businesses that give good, old-fashioned service to their customers. Small town living and community spirit are the hallmarks of the County.
